Samuel Sulser, Pioneer of Gadsden, Alabama and Allied Families
by Mildred Sulser Wright
June 22, 2006. Mildred Wright spent a lot of time and effort in the early 1980's traveling around the country researching her family. Part of that research included a stop in Alabama to visit with Aunt Maggie Prince, where she was able to view the Prince Bible. The results of all her research are in the book "Samuel Sulser, Pioneer of Gadsden, Alabama and Allied Familes", published in 1986. The book covers descendants of Sulser, McCauley, Gartman, and Pledger, and is a useful tool for anyone researching the Prince line. It contains pictures, census information, family stories, information from probate offices, and her speculations of how all this fit together. Mrs. Wright has graciously allowed me to present these photos from her book.
There are a limited number of books still available from Mrs. Wright. She will provide purchase information if you write her at: Mrs. Mildred Wright, 140 Briggs St., Beaumont, TX 77707-2329.
Update: Mildred Wright died in 2014, so I don't know if there are any books available from her estate or not.
