[w1/2 of nw1/4 sec 24 T14 R1W] This indenture made this twelfth day of August one thousand eight hundred and thirty one between Thomas Little of the county of Blount in the State of Alabama of the one part and Robert Higginbotham of the other part witnesseth that the said Thomas Little for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath this day bargained sold --- ---- and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain sell, alien, cufeof(?) and convey unto the said Robert Higginbotham all that certain or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Blount and State of Alabama to wit the west half of the north west quarter of section twenty four in township fourteen of range one west containing eighty acres and eleven hundreths of an acre. To have and to hold the above described tract of land with the tenements and apportines thereunto belonging or in any wise appartaining unto the said Robert Higginbotham, his heirs and assignes forever. And the said Thomas Little for himself and his heirs executors and administrators doth warrant and will for ever defend the title to the above described and hereby granted premises unto the said Robert Higginbotham his heirs and assigns from and against him the said Thomas Little and all and every person or persons claiming or holding under him the said Thomas Little and also against the lawful title claims or demand of all and every person or persons whomsoever claiming or holding by from or under the government of the United States.
