This index book is huge, containing about 96 marriages per page. These digital images are pages from the original book in the Jefferson county courthouse in Birmingham, Alabama. Most pages have "my" names on them, though there are a few random others.
Because the book is thick, taking 'flat" pictures was extremely difficult. Also, the lighting is fairly dim in the room, and I didn't want to disturb the nearby workers with a flash. All that to say, I did the best I could under the circumstances. If you find a page that is too blurred or distorted to read, please leave a comment or send me an email and I'll put that page back on the list for my next visit, and attempt to get a better image.
Also, be sure to check the bottom of each page - if a name was left off the list, it was manually typed or handwritten at the bottom of the page.
