Northeast Alabama Genealogical Society and the City of Gadsden Parks and Recreation Department invite you to join us for Ancestor Swap Meet 2010. The day will include an informative speaker, Ms. Nancy Dupree, Senior Archivist at the Alabama Department of Archives and History, the family files from Nichols Library, a hot lunch, door prizes, vendors and a chance to meet all the great people who attend this event. N.E. Alabama Genealogical Society’s volunteers will be available to help with any problems or concerns. You’ll meet new people and, who knows, some of them may be researching your families. We’ve seen connections made and lasting friendships begin at past Swap Meets. Invite those people you’ve been corresponding with to meet you here. Where else can you get all of this for $20 (early registration) or $25 after April 2, 2010? Early registration will help us insure that everyone has a hot lunch. As always we ask that you send some family information with your registration. This is the only way our family files will continue to grow.
The workshop on Friday night will be at the Nichols Memorial Library. The workshop attendance will be limited to the 1st 40 people to register. No walk-ins will be allowed unless the 40-person quota isn’t reached. The workshop fee is $10.
