On the second weekend of October, Ms. Kathryn Tucker Windham will emcee the Alabama Tale-Tellin' Festival, a storytelling festival she started 30 years ago. There will be a number of featured story-tellers beginning at 7pm, and a Swapping Ground at 5:30, where you come tell your story. Held at the Pickard Auditorium on Washington Street.
The same weekend, Selma hosts an Arts and Crafts festival along Water Street, along the Alabama River.
