Mr. J. W. Gray died at his home two miles east of Ragland on Sunday last. Mr Gray was about 65 years of age; a man who lived a straight-forward life, and dealt with his fellowman justly. He is survived by his wife and seven children. The funeral services were conducted Monday at Macedonia.

[This is believed to be William H. Gray, whose first wife was Virginia L. Bird, and second wife was Ida Jane Campbell, though the initials do not match, and it lists the wrong number of children. "Sunday last" would have been 12/31/1911, which matches the death date of William H. Gray who is buried at Macedonia.]
