HIGGINBOTHAM, ALBERT EARL age 90, of Cropwell, AL, died Sunday, October 01, 2006 at home. Mr. Higginbotham was born on October 7, 1915 in Sayreton, AL to the late Floyd Washington Higginbotham and Rosa Mae Buckalew Higginbotham. Albert served in WWII in the Pacific Theater as a Master Sergeant in the Headquarters & Service Company of the 1874th Engineer Aviation Battalion. He was a mining engineer for Republic Steel his entire career; working in Birmingham, AL, Uniontown, PA and Berry, AL. Albert was married to the late Alwilda Granger for fifty-nine years. Mr. Higginbotham is survived by his son, A. Darryl (Lee) Higginbotham; granddaughters, Storey H. (Curtis) Freeman and Samantha Higginbotham (Michael Thomas); great-grandson, Peyton Freeman; sister, Beryl H. Ferguson and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 03, 2006 at 10:00 AM, Jefferson Memorial Trussville in the Abbey Mausoleum with Services following at 10:30 AM. Memorials may be given to the Big Oak Boys and Girls Ranch, Rainbow City, AL. Jefferson Memorial Trussville, directing.
