PELL CITY - Funeral service for Emory Austell Vaughan, 83, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Joel R. Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Vaughan died Feb. 24.
He is survived by his wife, Vada Phillips Vaughan; brothers, Howard (Dobb) Vaughan, Harold Vaughan and Kenton Vaughan; sister, Milliscent Bivens; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral for Dillie Ann Phillips, 92, of Ragland, who died Monday, Sept. 26, was held Wednesday, Sept. 28 at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery, the Rev. Will Barber, the Rev. Douglas Ford and the Rev. Arthur Greenwood officiated and Kilgroe Funeral Home Directed.
She is survived by three sons, Forney Phillips and Autman Phillips, both of Ragland, and Raymond Phillips of Fultondale; a daughter, Hester Lett of Weaver; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

RAGLAND Funeral service for Leona White, 89, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Ives Harris Jr. and the Rev. Ted St. John officiating. Burial will be in Providence Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. White died Oct. 24 at her residence. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit White.

We are sorry to learn of the death of Mr. L. B. Huffstutler which occurred at his home in Blountsville on the morning of March 30th. He was only sick for about ten days but suffered intensely from the beginning. Mr. Huffstutler was a good citizen and leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. Peace to his memory!

Robert B. Kennedy, 83, of New Castle, died Saturday. A Tennessee native, Mr. Kennedy lived in Birmingham most of his life. He was retired from the U. s. Postal Department. Funeral will be 2p.m. today at Brown-Service, Norwood, with burial in Moncrief Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Helen Lais and Mrs. Ruth Allen, both of Birmingham, Mrs. Imogene McCulley, Fultondale, and Mrs. Lois Cook, Huntsville; a son, James Robert Smith, Birmingham, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Edith Howard, Birmingham.
