James Vaughn Dead.
James Vaughn, son of Rev. and Mrs. Richard Vaughn, of Trafford, R. 1, died at their home Saturday, June 21, aged 21 years.  It is said he died from the effects of a relapse of the measles.  He was a splendid young man, member of the C. P. Church, and had many friends.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. B. Nation of Oneonta, interment at Bethlehem cemetery.  The services were attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.  The Democrat joins friends of the family in extending sympathy to the grief stricken parents in their great loss.

HUFFSTUTLER  RITES HELD

Mrs. Claude Huffstutler (Sallie Hannah Vaughan), 73, died at her residence on Remlap Route one. A native of Cleveland, she was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Her parents were the late Richard and Jennie Loven [Loving] Vaughan, and her husband was Claude Huffstutler who died in 1964.

Survivors include a step-son, Ernest Huffstutler of Trafford Route one; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Box of Oneonta Route one, Mrs. Catherine Atkinson of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Jennie Mae Fountain of Cleveland Route one; two brothers, Cage Vaughan of Cleveland Route one, Charles Vaughan of Hokes Bluff.

Rev. Mrs. Estelle Pinegar and Rev. Joe Maples conducted last rites August 15 at 2 p.m. from Tabernacle Church.Lemley Chapel directed burial in Tabernacle Cemetary.

Huffstutler, J.M., Died 24 Jun 1908; J.M. Huffstutler, brother of our townsman, Thomas Huffstutler, died in Birmingham, June 24th from the effects of a stroke of paralysis received some time ago. The deceased is survived by a wife and eleven children, four sons and seven daughters. He was employed as conductor on the Powderly-Bessemer line for several years and had acquired a wide acquaintance and become very popular among the patrons of that line. The remains were carried to Adville, this county, and interred at Tabernacle cemetery.

Clint Huffstutler Dies in Texas
Clint Huffstutler, father of Comodore Huffstutler of Oneonta, died at his home in Grandview, Texas, on May 9th. Mr. Huffstutler was well known to the people of this county. He was born and reared near Liberty and was a son-in-law of the late S. C. Allgood. He was 65 years of age and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mary Huffstutler dead.
News has just reached here of the death of Mrs. Mary Huffstutler which occurred at her home on route 3, Warrior, a few days ago.  Mrs Huffstutler was 81 years of age and is survived by two sons and five daughters.

[Mary  Malissa Hicks Huffstutler died Aug 31, 1923, and is buried at Old Philadelphia Church, Blount County, Alabama.]

Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. from Usrey Chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Harold Hazel and the Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City. Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the services.
