Mrs. Hester Smith Gray, age 80, of 4225 4th Ave. S. passed away Friday pm in Panama City, Fla. She is survived by the husband William N. Gray; 2 sisters, Mrs. D. F. Black and Mrs. G. W. Harris, both of Atlanta, Ga., and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:30 pm. from Johns-Ridout's Church Chapel, the Rev. James E. Harris officiating. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Johns-Ridout's directing, 2136 8th Ave. S.

Mrs. Dorothy Campbell Garrett,56, of 2042 Montreat Parkway, Hoover, who died Tuesday, was a Birmingham native, a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church and had lived in Jasper 18 years. Graveside services will be at 3 pm. Thursday at Elmwood, Valley Chapel directing. Survivors include her husband, Roy J. Garrett; two daughters, Mrs. William E. Reynolds Jr., Jasper, and Mrs. Jerry Hutto, Covington, La, and her mother, Mrs. Florence M. McCroskey, Birmingham.

Mrs. Ruby Allen Gray, 84, of 108 West Hawthorn Road, Homewood, who died Monday, was an Alabama native and a member ofTrinity United Methodist Church. She was a retired bookkeeper for Spivey Johnson Co., and a former member of the 50 Plus Bridge Associaion. Graveside service was today at Elmwood, Valley Chapel directing. Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Laura Clanton, Lakeland, Fla, and Mrs. Morgan Tyler, Greenville, SC, and a nephew, James Clapp, Memphis, Tenn.

Mrs. Nellie Higginbotham, 76, of Cullman Rt. 1 died Monday. Funeral was today at New Prospect Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs Higginbotham is survived by her husband, W. G. Higginbotham; three sons, Hick, Wayne and Don Ray Higginbotham, three daughters, Mrs. Ellen Baulet, Mrs. Mildred Rye and Mrs. Jackie Fell; five sisters, Mrs. Lela Moon, Mrs. Letha Nelson, Mrs. Roxie Thomas, Mrs. Annie Russell and Mrs. Opal Ruff, and three brothers, Willie, Woodrow and Sammie Wilson.
