Letter from Talladega Al dated Feb 1st 1915 from Mrs. E. E. Watson, widow of A. G. Watson, A. G. Lost an arm in the war, letter from R. H. McKinney “ during he year 1862 the said A. G. Watson was transferred from some regiment, the number of which he does not now remember, to Company H 25th Alabama Infantry CSA; that to the best of his recolllection that he exchanged places with one Tom Warren, so he could be in the same company and regiment with his brother, Tom Watson, and brother-in-law, Henry Abbott....wounded in the battle of Atlanta... he died 27 Jan 1901....Widows form - PO - 415 West Monroe St, Jacksonville Fla, pension # 22129, living w/ daughter, born Talladega Al on Jul 22, 1849, father John L. Leay, who died in Talladega Co, AL. Husband Abbert G. Watson, married 1869, he died 1901. She lived in Fulton County Ga for a year., husband enlisted in Talladega Co, AL. 1928 letter to pension dept asking that she be changed from St. Clair Co to Calhoun Co on the widows pension roll.

Wounded at the battle of Dallosi?, lost one finger in the state of GA, can't make a living due to old age and blindness, is age 68 at time of this statement (11 Jul 1910), PO is Searles Al, Lock 16, April 1897 soldiers or sailors application states he is engaged in the business of carrying mail.

Andrew enlisted Greenville AL, has $130 in bank Dec 1920. Cliff Tobias states he knows Mrs Mary Watson and she has not remarred since the death of her husband.

Letter from probate judge dated Feb 2, 1927 asking widow to fill in blanks - I am the widow of Boling Perry Watson I am 65 years of age I was born Mar 8 1862 I was married to my husband on Dec 23 1886, signed Anna S. Watson. He is on the pension roll of Dallas Co, he was born at Loundes Co, AL. Widow application - he died Nov 13, 1922 at Burnsville AL in Dallas Co, AL, married to him at Anniston in Calhoun Co on Dec 3 1886. She was born at Mobile, Mobile Co, AL on Mar 8, 1862 and her age is 60 years 10 months 7 days. Is living in own home. Children are: Mrs J. T. Rasberry, Birmingham, AL, Miss Ruth Watson, Anniston AL. Mrs. Rasberry lives with her husband and Miss Ruth Watson is a stenographer. Form dated 15 Jan 1923. Rasberry, was born Mobile, father was John Mastic Stockley who died in Mobile 1879, she married Boling Perry Watson in Anniston AL 1886, he died Burnsville AL 1922, was married previously to W. P. Cole, married Oct 19 1880 in Burnsville Dallas Co, AL. Husband enlisted Montgomery AL was wounded Battle of Statesboro SC on Nov 5 1864.

Watson who was killed on the 20th day of Sep 1863, and that she has not remarried since his death. Has letter to widow from his lieutenant informing her of his death and the circumstances.

Watson, G. W., Wilcox Co, Co A 23rd Regt.....Physical examination. Applicant is a very well preserved man for his age. Complains of rheumatic pains in his knee. Has a badly maimed right hand the result of an accident in a cotton gin, two of his fingers are gone and the others stiff from anshylosis. The usefulness of the hand is greatly imparied especially when used in manual labor. G. W. Watson is citizen of Wilcox Co, enlisted as soldier in Co A 23rd Reg on Aug 1861 at Camden. Discharged on 26 Apr 1865. Is age 66 at time of this filing. R. U. L. Watson is personally acquainted with G. W. Watson....

Jan 17, 1916, was living Coffee Co at Elba Al, now moved to Dothan AL and wants pension forwarded....Name is John Jackson Watson, will be 75 next birthday, for prior 2 years living Midlane City....have been married, have 2 girls in orphans home...J. J. Watson enlisted in the service of the confederate army as a Private in Co G 39 Ala Reg on the 3rd day of Nov 1863 and was honorably discharged on 26 Apr 1865. Is also a second class pensioner on the roll from Houston Co.

She moved to AL about 1853, think it was about the last of he second year of the war, he was never wounded. Enlisted in Co C in AL Stricklin(?) Battallion State Troups on July 1864 at Camp Watts “Notasulga”. He can't make living due to old age and physical disability, is age 82, PO Brockton AL, form completed after Feb 10, 1899. Later page says widow born near Whitesville in Harris Co, GA on 4 Apr 1834, now 81 years old, pension #28398. This old lady is very old & feble and she can not remember the company & regiment her husband . she says he often told her but she has forgoten the number. Henry King states he was member of Co H, 57th Ala Inf, they were thrown together on picket duty. Widow of John Watson who died on 22 May 1911 who was on roll of Coffee Co.
