GIBBS, WILLIAM HAMPTON "Bill", 79, of Bayview, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007. He was a WWII Army Veteran and retired from U.S. Steel after 42 years. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 2, at 11:00 AM at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Crestview Memorial Gardens. Brothers John Price and Charles Click will officiate. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy A. Gibbs; daughter, Sheila Dawn (Lester) Barnes of Bayview; three grandchildren, Cacey Adam (Debra) Barnes, Christian Miles Barnes, and William Austin Barnes; sister, Audrey Mae Watkins of Concord; mother-in-law, Leona Aaron of Bayview; and a number of nieces and nephews.

WATKINS, MR. PHILLIP, 58, of Birmingham, died September 2, 1996.  He was a member of Cathedral of the Cross Church; veteran of the United States Army; over 25 years of service in the Alabama National Guard.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, 12:30 pm from Ridouts Roebuck East Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Mark Correll officiating.  Survivors:  wife, Patricia Watkins, Birmingham, sons, Gregory Watkins, Nashville, David Watkins, and Bradley Watkins, both of Birmingham, mother Audrey Watkins, Concord; sisters, Janice Green, Birmingham and Katie Watkins, Daytona Beach, FL.  Roebuck East Chapel directing.
