Obituary
With the passing of Bro. A. C. Welden on June 18, 1937, we, the members of the Inman Methodist Church, were deeply saddened.
Bro. Welden was born July 21, 1886 at Inman, Ga. where he lived all his life. He was reared in a Christian home. When he was a young boy he joined the church which was then called Liberty Chapel. On Oct. 14, 1922 he was married to Miss Letitia Mullins. Upon the death of his father on Oct. 14, 1922 he was appointed a steward in the Inman Methodist Church of which he served faithfully until his death. He was also a member of the Fayette County Board of Education for nine years.
Bro. Welden lived a life of usefulness and loved his fellowman. He was a loyal friend, a substantial citizen, and a devoted husband and father.
Funeral services were conducted from the Inman Methodist Church by his pastor Rev. G. H. Stone and his former pastor Rev. J. C. Callaway. Our sympathy goes out to his wife and children. Therefore be it resolved:
First: That we bow in humble submission to our Heavenly Father's will.
Second: That we knew him as a loyal, earnest, able, and enthusiastic steward. We deplore our loss but may his life be an inspiration to all who knew him.
Third: That we, the entire membership of the Inman Methodist Church extend to his wife and children heartfelt sympathy. May God's richest blessings abide with them.
Fourth: That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of the deceased; that a copy be printed in the Wesleyan Christian Advocate and Fayette County Enterprise; and that a copy be drafted into the minutes of this body.
