Higginbotham, William H., died Jul 1893 at his residence in Village Springs, in this County. Mr. Wm. H. Higginbotham, one of Blount's oldest citizen's having almost reached his four-score years. His remains were consigned to the grave with Masonic honors.

Higginbotham, Andrew Lafayette "Buck", d.1919

Buck Higginbotham one of the old settlers of the County, died at his home in Village Springs last Sunday.  He had been in ill health for a long time but had been able to be up until on Thursday of last week his condition suddenly grew worse and death resulted Sunday.  Mr. Higginbotham was about 70 years of age and resided nearly all his life in the community where he died.  The remains were interred in Remlap cemetery Monday.

Hayes, Samuel Maverick, d.1919

Samuel M. Hayes, one of the oldest citizens of this county died at the home of his daughter near Trafford last Friday. Mr Hayes was about 83 years of age and has been very feeble for some time. He came to Oneonta a few days on a visit to his daughter, Mrs. J. D. Armstrong, and to attend to some business. He returned to his home the first of the week. Friday morning he complained of feeling tired and lay down. A few moments later he was found to be in a dying condition, death resulting in a few minutes.

Gray, William Robert, d.1966

W. R. Gray

William Robert Gray, 87, of San Antonion, Tex., formerly of Birmingham, died Monday in a San Antonio hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Macedonia Baptist Church in St. Clair County. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery, Brown-Service Norwood directing.

Mr. Gray was a native of St. Clair County.

Survivors include a brother, Arthur F. Gray, Tarrant; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Chamlis, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Zady Gibbs, Birmingham, and Mrs. Dillann Phillips, Ragland.

Mr. J. W. Gray died at his home two miles east of Ragland on Sunday last. Mr Gray was about 65 years of age; a man who lived a straight-forward life, and dealt with his fellowman justly. He is survived by his wife and seven children. The funeral services were conducted Monday at Macedonia.
