COMMENDING REVEREND DOUGLAS FRANKLIN FORD, PASTOR OF HARDIN'S CHAPEL BIBLE CHURCH, RAGLAND, ALABAMA, FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO HIS CHURCH.

WHEREAS, Reverend Douglas Franklin Ford is a wonderful, dedicated servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His church, and he deserves to be recognized for the difference his presence has made to countless individuals as pastor of Hardin's Chapel Bible Church, in Ragland, Alabama, for 50 years; and

Calvert, Ella Estelle Farley, age 87, of Fultondale, AL, died November 25, 2004. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Fultondale. Survivors include sons, Perry E. (Betty) Farley of Mt. Olive, Mickey L. (Sue Ellen) Farley of Rowlett, TX; daughter, Mary (Voight) Phillips of Gardendale, AL, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; sisters, Sarah Howell of Birmingham, AL, Evelyn Cole of Opelika, AL; sister-in-law, Hattie Smith of Zephyrhills, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

DORMAN, JAMES A., Jr., age 83, of Pinson, Alabama. Born March 2, 1923 to the
late James Alfred, Sr. and Estelle Hallmark Dorman. He passed away on November
8, 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Gayle Dorman; son,
Richard Dorman; and brother, Donald Dorman.

He is survived by his sons, Lynn (Sharon) Dorman of Panama City, FL, Wayne
(Sherry) Dorman and Barry (Susan) Dorman of Pinson; and his daughter, Brenda
(Jesse) Hauskins of Hendersonville, TN.

RAGLAND - Funeral service for Lester Cleo "Cotton" Phillips, 63, will be Thursday, June 17, at 3 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial will be in Providence Baptist Cemetery in Ragland.

Mr. Phillips died June 14 in Pell City. He was a lifelong resident of Ragland and retired from National Cement in 2003.

Died, at Coal City, on Feb. 23, Mrs. Geo. Layton, deceased was a daughter of Jno. Campbul of Ragland.  She leaves a husband and one child to mourn her loss.  The interment took place at Ragland.
