Wallace State - Genealogy Open House

On January 18, Wallace State College will have a free open house in cooperation with the North Central Alabama Genealogical Society. It will be held from 9 AM to 3 PM at our college library.  Robert Davis will give a tour of the collection at 10 AM; Bill Simpson will give a talk on digital photography at 1 PM; and Robert Davis will talk about special sites for Internet research at 2 PM.

EMORY AUSTELL VAUGHAN

PELL CITY - Funeral service for Emory Austell Vaughan, 83, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Joel R. Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Vaughan died Feb. 24.

He is survived by his wife, Vada Phillips Vaughan; brothers, Howard (Dobb) Vaughan, Harold Vaughan and Kenton Vaughan; sister, Milliscent Bivens; and several nieces and nephews.
