Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept 15, 1996 at 2pm in the Chapel of Chapel Hill Funeral Home of Pell City, Rev. Doug Ford and Rev. Ted St. John officiating burial in Macedonia Cemetery, Ragland. Chapel Hill in charge of services.

PHILLIPS, ROBERT E. (PETE), age 66 of Ragland, died April 14, 1998. He was born in Ragland and was a graduate of Ragland High School. He entered the US Air Force in 1951 and retired in 1971. While in the US Air Force he served in the Vietnam conflict. After retiring from the US Air Force, he worked for Bonner Acoustical Tile in Gadsden, CAPCO, TEMCO and Bob Roberts Construction, where he was presently employed. He arttended Gray's Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, from 5:30 until 9:00 pm at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Graveside service Thursday, April 16, at 2:00 pm at Ragland Methodist Cemetery. Survivors: wife, Fumiko Phillips, of Ragland; daughter, Robin Phillips, of Gadsden; mother, Viola Phillips, of Ragland; sister, Barbara Dickey Guthrie, of Pell City; brother, Ray Phillips, of Ragland; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Kilgroe Funeral Home-Pell City directing.

VAUGHN, VIVIAN age 90, of Fultondale, died July 3, 1995. She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist of Fultondale. Funeral will be July 6, 1995, 2 pm at Walker Chapel with Pastor Rondal Merrell officiating. Burial in Walker Chapel Memory Gardens. Survivors: daughters, Nezalee Thomas and Frances Phillips of Birmingham, Ruby N. Doyle of Pine Valley, CA, Mary Vaughn of San Diego, Ca, Mavis Carmichael of Fort Meade, FL, and Carol Senger of El Centro, CA; sons, Gerald W. Arthur Gray, Tarrant City; Mrs. Sadie Gibbs, Sayre, Ala, and Mrs. Margaret Chamliss, Oakland, Calif; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services 2 pm Sunday from Macedonia Baptist Church, Ragland. Interment adjoining cemetery, the Rev. Tony Gann and the Rev. Reese officiating. Vice directing.
