Died on Jan. 19th, 1890, nears Hoods, Capt. S. C. Vaughn, of Gangrene,
aged 67 years. The deceased was a highly honored citizen of this
county, and for many years a consistent and faithful member of the
Baptist church.

James Vaughn Dead.
Uncle Jim Vaughn, a good old citizen, died at the alms house, near Oneonta, Saturday night. This poor old man had been an inmate of the poor house for several years and for the past few years almost helpless and demented. He was 82 years of age and is survived by several relatives in the county. The remains were laid to rest at Liberty cemetery.
