Watson, Mr. Charles John, age 83, of 1621 Berkley Ave, Bessemer, passed away Sunday pm at a local hospital. Survived by the wife, Mrs. Leona Watson; 3 sons, Charles T. Watson and Fred G. Watson, both of Bessemer; Melvin A. Watson, of B'ham; 2 daughters, Mrs. John Hurst of B'ham and Miss Peggy Watson of B'ham; 14 grandchildren. Funeral services Tuesday, 2 pm, from Brown-Service, Bessemer Chapel, interment Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Quinton Porch officiating. Pallbearers will be employees of Metropoliton Life Ins. Co, Brown-Service, Bessemer, directing.

Mrs. Leona Watson, 79, of 1621 Berkley Ave, Bessemer, died Monday. An Alabama native, Mrs. Watson lived in Bessemer more than 50 years. She was a member of Bessemer First Baptist Church and Larkspur Garden Club. Funeral was today at Brown Service Bessemer with burial in Cedar Hill. Survivors include two sons, Charles T. and Fred G. Watson, both of Bessemer; two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Hurst, Panama City, Fla, and Mrs. James Molleson, Homewood; and three sisters, Mrs. Otis Glass, Mrs. Otis McCombs and Mrs. Clarence Hawkins, and a brother, Herbert Gray, all of Pinson.
