John Caleb Bice
Died, Oct. 26, 1928, Rev. J.C. Bice aged 83 years, at his home near Ashville, where he had lived for the past thirty-six years. He leaves to mourn his departure 3 sons, and 4 daughters. N.S. Bice, N.A. Bice, J.W. Bice, Miss Mary Bice, Mrs. M.N. Williams, Mrs. T.J. Williams (Aunt Sarah), Mrs. Missouri Davis. His place in his community will be hard to fill. He was a loving father and a true friend. He lived the Gospel at home that he began to preach in 1876. He was an Old Confederate Soldier. He was buried at Friendship Cemetery by Masons. Funeral Sermon by Rev. C.J. Donahoo.

Died on June 8, 1928, Mrs. Erdie Bice, wife of James W. Bice. Funeral services were held Saturday at Friendship, Revs. Bert McClendon and C. J. Donahoo officiating. She leaves a husband and 3 small children to mourn her passing.
