John Caleb Bice
Died, Oct. 26, 1928, Rev. J.C. Bice aged 83 years, at his home near Ashville, where he had lived for the past thirty-six years. He leaves to mourn his departure 3 sons, and 4 daughters. N.S. Bice, N.A. Bice, J.W. Bice, Miss Mary Bice, Mrs. M.N. Williams, Mrs. T.J. Williams (Aunt Sarah), Mrs. Missouri Davis. His place in his community will be hard to fill. He was a loving father and a true friend. He lived the Gospel at home that he began to preach in 1876. He was an Old Confederate Soldier. He was buried at Friendship Cemetery by Masons.  Funeral Sermon by Rev. C.J. Donahoo.

ELBERT L. BICE , age 54, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Ragland, died Monday, March 5 [1979].

He is survived by wife, Mrs. Phyllis Bice, one son, Everett Bice of Chicago, two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Peppler of Danbury, Wis., Mrs. Carolyn Wilmsen of Chicago, two stepsons, Edward and Timothy Fitzgerald, both of Chicago, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Logodzinski and Miss Phyllis Fitzgerald, both of Chicago, two brothers, Emeris and Curtis Bice, both of Ragland, two sisters, Mrs., Ethel Campbell of Ragland and Mrs. Cecil Campbell of Chicago, nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 9 from Gray's Chapel Baptist Church with interment in Macedonia Cemetery, Rev. Arthur Greenwood Officiated and Kilgroe directed.

ELZORA KELLEY GRAY, age 93, of Ragland, who passed away on August 11, 1999 in Pell City. She was a native of Majestic, AL, a resident of Ragland and also a homemaker. She was a member of Gray's Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral will be Satuday, August 14, at 12:00 noon at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with burial in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery, Ragland, AL. Rev. Doug Ford and Rev. Frank parrish are officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Gray. Survivors: three duaghters, Louise Bice of Justice, IL, Jeanette Pinkston, and Joan Gray, both of Ragland; eight sons, Richard Gray of Glenn Berine, MD, Rubin Gray, Jr. Of Fultondale, AL, Travis Gray, Albert Gray, John Gray and Larry Gray, all of Ragland, AL, Marvin Gray and James Gray, both of Cleveland, OH; 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 13 nieces, five nephews, pallbears are Mark Gray, Derik Wolfe, Cathy Bice, James Davis, Matthew Dukes, James Michael Gray, Richard Barrett and Ray Barron. Chapel Hill Funeral Home of Pell City directing.
